This started as a lazy Sunday, and surprisingly cold for the middle of April. But after finishing the movie we’d started the night before, Edin and I decided to check out a Craft Beer Festival at the Nordbahnhof. We also checked out an artist colony in the area, and even a cemetery.

Cannstatter Volksfest Oct 8, 2016
It was my first weekend here and time to check out a real German festival. My hotel offered reservations at a tent, so I managed to get wristbands for my friend Jim and I (in case Jim could join me later). My first point of confusion: I thought the hotel offered a bus service there, but no, we were to get ourselves there and meet about 5 pm. So basically I was headed there by myself, but what the heck, I didn’t have anything else to do.
I made it!
